Ask any single designer, art director of a small marketing firm, or CEO of a massive ad agency on Wall street what the most important part of a company is when looking at the way people see your company? Branding. At Nuhexi we value creating your brand above any other aspect of a company, why? Branding IS your company. Everything and anything to do with your company all comes back go branding. There's countless other companies trying to compete in the exact same business as you, accept it. Stand out, be nu.
What makes a business branded?
Consistency throughout! Create a set of consistent actions that is capable of yielding consistent results that helps in communicating a set of consistent messages to a consistent target market. This brings forth consistent success.
The 5 most important aspects of your company that you can perfect in order to distinguish yourself as a strong brand.
The Brand Position is the side of the brand that illustrates what your organization does and for whom, what your unique value is and how a customer benefits from working with you or your product/service, and what key differentiation you have from your competition. Once you've defined your brand position, you should be able to sum it up in a few short sentences, or write a novel about it. Knowing who you are is the first step to allowing your future customers or clients to know who you are.
Brand Associations are the specific physical artifacts that make up the brand. This is your name, logo, colors, taglines, fonts, imagery, etc. Your brand associations must reflect your brand promise, all of your brand traits, and support your brand positioning statement. Yellow arches = McDonalds, talking gecko = Geico, Tony the Tiger = Kellogs Frosted Flakes. Association, association, association.
The Brand Promise is the single most important thing that the organization promises to deliver to its customers - every time. To come up with your brand promise, consider what customers, employees, and partners should expect from every interaction with you. Every business decision should be weighed against this promise to be sure that a) it fully reflects the promise, or b) at the very least it does not contradict the promise.
Brand personality illustrates what the organization wants its brand to be known for. Think about specific personality traits you want prospects, clients, employees, and partners to use to describe your organization. These traits should be apparent to your most dedicated follower, but also to a first time customer or client. You want people to recognize yourself for having a quality personality, wouldn't you want the same for your company?
The Brand Story illustrates the organization's history, along with how the history adds value and credibility to the brand. It also usually includes a summary of your products or services.
Once you've developed and defined a relevant brand, you must begin building the brand with employees, customers, prospects, partners, etc. through consistent execution. Repetition is key to the success of the branding process. Your brand is the underlining foundation of your entire company. Don't fall into the category of "just another company". Be different. Be Nu.
